Did the sudden change in dynamics scare you? Can you change dynamics drastically in one of your pieces this week? 

Do you hear the opening one octave arpeggio?  Maybe try beginning or ending one of your songs this week with a one octave arpeggio.

The two opening notes he sings are an octave apart.  Sing or hum along with them.  Then count how many times you hear him sing an octave.
